Meet Our Team!

Pamela Chapman
Pamela, the owner of the Alteration Center started sewing
with her mother as a little girl. She managed several
stores for the House of Fabrics and then worked at Loralie
Originals in a formalwear factory.
Pamela moved to Oregon in 1995 and has been offering her
sewing services in the Rogue Valley ever since. Her specialty
is formal and bridal wear.

Gwen Strawick
Having learned to sew
and garment construction came at a young age because of
helping and being taught by her grandmother who owned
her own shop. Gwen later learned alterations working in
a dry cleaners and then working several years in a tailor
shop. She has excelled in and specializes in men's clothing
and uniforms knowing all the correct specs and positioning.
She offers her expertise in all areas of sewing with over
four decades of experience.

Julie Crider
Julie discovered her
passion for sewing while growing up in the heart of Amish
country in Indiana. Her grandmother played an intricate
role in Julie’s life by showing her the amazing
things that can be done with a needle and thread.
Julie joined the Alteration
Center family in 2016 and has made it her goal to consistently
challenge herself to improve her skills to best meet the
needs of her clients.

Hannah Farless
Hannah received her first sewing machine as a gift for
her eighth birthday. It started a love affair with sewing
that has expanded and developed over many years. She enjoys
working on everything from baby clothes and quilts to
custom designs for men and women.
Hannah's passion for
sewing and creating is what drives her. She has expanded
into the embroidering and is available to travel for custom
consulting and estimates.

Dawn Reynolds
Dawn Reynolds joined the Alteration
Center team in October 2016. At eight years old, Dawn began her
lifelong love of sewing when she learned basic sewing techniques
in Girl Scouts. She quickly became the family seamstress –
making, altering and mending clothing.
The desire to learn and develop
her sewing talent prompted Dawn to attend sewing courses, through
high school and college where she continued to perfect her sewing
skills and knowledge. Dawn is ready, willing and able to help
you with your sewing projects.

Paula Marksman
Paula, who joined us in July
2015, is passionate about fabric. She loves to create with it,
an affair which began as Paula watched her grandmother fashion
beautiful works from a variety of fabrics. The scraps left from
these projects became the materials for Paula’s first adventures
in sewing. Also she is an avid learner and continues to add to
her skills in alteration, re-purposing, mending and custom sewing
projects. Paula brings these talents with her to the Alteration
Center and looks forward to helping clients young and more mature,
long standing or new, look their very best.

Crystal Rowbotham
Crystal has been sewing and
crafting since she was a young girl. She attended the College
of the Siskyous from 1999 to 2003. After receiving an Associates
degree in music and theater, she spent the summer in Hollywood
doing background acting work through Central Casting. Crystal
moved to Ashland Oregon to continue her studies in theater and
arts specializing in costume, makeup and lighting design.
Crystal has worked for the Oregon
Shakespeare Festival, Hollywood film and theater. Crystaljoined
the Alteration Center family in June of 2015. Cosplay is one of
Crystal’s favorite hobbies and she has hosted the costume
repair booth for the Medford comic con since 2016.

Kelsey Williams
Kelsey is a designer, leather tailor, costumer and cosplayer.
She graduated Cum Laude with a degree in technical sewing. She
went on to be the Production Manager of Ravenswood Leather.
Now, she works independently
with the Alteration Center as a Seamstress and Custom Tailor.
